We went to the vet on 19th Nov for our check-up and vaccination. Mico's supposed to be on a diet but she gained from 5.15kg to 5.95kg! I maintained my weight at 5.1kg. ^^

I know, unbelievable as it seems, I love durian. It's stinky but yummy and creamy and fleshy and yellow. It can be sweet (which I prefer, like my 누나) or bitter.

Since the durian season is in, I've been able to get some... fortunately for me, Mico doesn't seem to like them so, I get more!

Durians can be heaty though, so eat sparingly else you'll risk constipation!

Vet trips

Our last trip to the vet was on Apr 17, for his review of the demodex (sp?) and it was getting better, according to the skin scrape test. Still, doc ordered for a review.

Bill: $96

Weight: 4.8kg

Medicine: anti-biotics, cyclosporine and ivermectin.

Test: skin scrape

We went to the vet today for the belated review plus he seemed to have got an ear infection - his left ear looks redder than the right. And my guess was right. The vet did a lab test with a swab taken from both ears. And the vet also said that his right ear was coming down with it too. And it could be that the water got into the ears while showering.

Skin scrape test tested negative for the demodex (hooray!) but vet ordered one last course to completely eliminate it.

Bill: $136

Weight: 5.15kg (he has been eating Mico's leftovers)

Medicine: cyclosporine (finishing), dermotic ear and skin suspension, ivermectin (last course), sebolyse (standby)

Test done: ear and skin scrape

Note: even though he looks smiley and happy in these pics, he was actually trembling when we got there. This boy loves car rides and lookin at the moving traffic from inside. I love how the vet is familiar with him, shows an interest in explaining and handles him well.

Since the two-legged ones get the day off due to National Day (Happy 44th Birthday, Singapore!), 누나 spent her time thinking up bentos (her latest obsession) and bringing us for a long, long walk.

For me, I got to meet many of my old friends cos we hardly walk there nowadays. Money, Money's relative, Chubby, Jaker, Mickey, Lassie... even two new friends, Mantou the mini maltese (누나 is so in love with her and thinks she's so princessey, as compared to my tomboy sister Mico) and Teacup the chihuahua who's very grumpy.

We met lotsa kids during our nearly 2-hours walk, and they had fun playing and petting us. 누나 likes having kids petting and playing with us, cos she thinks it's good for their development and cultivates their love and respect for other living things.

An interesting piece of news was in the papers today, citing that dogs are as smart as 2-year-old toddlers. Well, 누나 has always known it, and thinks that some hoomans sometimes, are denser that what they give us credit for. Go figure.

Well, we took some pics with 누나's old Samsung phone, cos her Sony Ericsson was being charged. 누나 will be getting a new phone soon, and you can be sure she has learnt from Mico's fiasco.

Follow-up on 12/07/09

Toto went back for follow-up on the 12th and was seen by a different vet as the current doc has gone on maternity leave. Thank goodness for computerisation, cos all the history's there.

Current vet, Dr C, thinks Toto might have developed resistance to the antibiotics prescribed in the previous two courses, and that's why hasn't recovered from it. We're due for a follow-up this coming two weeks (depending on time). Dr C doesn't think it's infection or bacteria though.

Bill break-down this time:

Ciprofloxacin 250mg tablets ($21.60)
Pyraquantel Allwormer (ilium) tablet ($4) x 2 (for Mico as well)
Consult ($18)
Lab sticky tape preparation ($15)

Sorry for not keeping the dust off the pawlg. Our 누나/언니 has been ~~lazy~~ busy, but we still take pics quite often!

Last we updated, Toto went to the vet for skin inflammation. Probably some allergy, but still unknown. That was on Mar 28, Dexason 2MG/ML (Dexamethasone) injection ($8.10) and consult $30, but we had the Dermotic and Sebolyse from our previous visit for Toto's yeast infection.

The day after 누나 came back from Hong Kong (free from H1N1!) on June 20th, Toto's skin inflammation came back and got worse than ever. Plus, he might be having cataracts, so it's been awfully worrying. He currently has his e-collar on for about a week now, and seeing him itch and scratch is heartbreaking and the 누나s will take turn to scratch him behind the ear.

This time, it was a mini bag of meds and all. Chlorpheniramine 4MG tablets ($9), Dermotic Ear & Skin Suspension ($15), Dexason 2MG/ML (Dexamethasone) injection ($8.10), Ketoconazole 200MG blister tablets (Antanazole) ($5), Quinax Eyedrops 15ML ($13), Sebolyse Clear Shampoo ($21) and consult ($31).

Toto's due for a follow-up in about 2 weeks time, and hopefully the vet would say it's actually nuclear sclerosis and not cataracts, for which, we will have to wait for the Aussie specialist to come in and do the necessary testing and op.

Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been an pawfully busy period, with Christmas and the lunar new year being so close. Both of us went visiting and got "ang pows" too, and we got to play with our two fur-relatives, Petals and Snowy. ^^

Petals is still as deumure as I'd remembered her last year, and she's about to be 5? Snowy just had fun trying to annoy Mico, and they are just a few months apart. Of course, Mico, our little chilli padi, isn't going to give in without a fight. And me? Following my 누나 around and waiting for yummy treats to fall from the skies.

It's getting quite late, but since 누나 is on leave tomorrow, she said I could stay up to use the computer. She says we're like kids, and have to use the computer supervised especially when we're using our paws, unlike what the humans have called fingers. Mico's asleep already. As usual, even daytime. See below for proof!

And for the benefit of those who misses Yorke, since her blog is collecting e-cobwebs and dust bunnies (not the real ones under the bed she loves to hide in), here she is looking tiny against the sofa.

And for those who misses Cody, here he is, looking all handsome and posing with his green flyer which we dispatched via our 누나 to him. He does look happy, doesn't he?

And saving the cutest, bestest, sweetest, adorablest, picture... that's of us in empty photocopy paper boxes. No, it's not an ad for Double A paper (though looking at how white I look, I might make a goodspokesdog huh?), but just to show that we ain't that big and we can still fit in! Yorke may be able to fit into a shoebox, but we'll leave the contortionist to figure out how. ^^

Bunny Ears

Our 누나 loves this Korean variety show, 우리 결혼했어요 (We Got Married). It's about stars being make-belief couples and how they go about in their "married" lives.

In Episode 34, one of the stars, Hwang Bo, brought one of her chichuahuas, 진스 (Jin-seu) to the set. And dressed Jin-seu up she did!

And that's when 누나 remembers that she has bought bunny ears for Mico too! But it's in pink!Who's more adorable?

누나 saw the movie, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and she's just in love with the clothes and cute dogs now! But... we're Singaporean dogs. Maybe Christmas?

Some Updates...

Nothing much happened in our absence, except that Mico's with us for a year now. :D

Time sure flies, and I can't imagine her being this tiny and acting all shy and demure. Now, she's a little terror that hogs all the toys. And treats. Believe me.

Now, our trip to the vet on Saturday diagnosed me (Toto) with yeast infection as well as ear infection. Mico was alright, except, in the vet's words, "a little chubby". Meaning it's time for a diet. Also, Mico seems to have loose kneecaps, which means that she has to cut down on all that jumping around, lest it gets worse and becomes paralysing. And if you can't tell, our 누나 is one worrier - we can only eat what's ours, no more jumping (well, if Mico sneaks up without anyone knowing), no more rough-playing.

And the bill for both of us? $149.10. Even though Mico doesn't really need to be there, 누나 says it's worth paying that bit for that little peace of mind. (Told you she's a worrier.) I'm due for a follow-up next month and 누나 is trying to arrange her leave to bring me there.

I'm not a pictures kinda dog, so whenever I'm not in the mood, I'll start on my tongue flicking frenzy, or look away, or do a tons of other things to piss 누나 off until she gives up. Usually, treats, or 'mum mum' or 'kai kai' works, but for a split second. So, imagine her happiness when she captured this series of pictures...

As you can see, we're looking very very bored... sorry that we couldn't update, cos our 누나 just started on her new job the moment she came back from Hong Kong (they called her the moment she landed there to offer her the job)!

Since we've to get our weekly bath, here's some pictures to make up for the lack of it the last time.

And oh, it'll be my 2nd year here soon. Mico's 1st year will be in another 4 months! Time flies!

누나 got us some treats from HK (to share with Cody),

I'm very much better today, and so we've canceled the visit to Namly's Dr Ling.

Earlier on yesterday, I was feeling so bad that I didn't lick my *ahem*, scratch and mess up my topknot, kept hiding, growled, and not much appetite during lunch. Slowly, I got better with rest and attention, and had yummy frozen yoghurt, and finished up all of my dinner. And I got nice massages from Yaya, Mummy and 누나. Mico seems to know, and left me alone, and didn't try to fight for attention from 누나.

This morning, I was all better, and Mico jumped up the bed to make me play with her. Back to being greedy and barking at random stuff and all. :)

Shivering

I've been shivering last night after the human cousins went home, but was ok during the short walk. After that, I've been shivering again, and even nipped my 누나 who was trying to coax me to bed and gave up. She was nursing a cold herself.

I was still shivering when she got up this morning, and she called up Namly's, and we've an appointment with Dr Ling tomorrow. Nothing lesser, but Dr Ling. Was told to be monitored, and if it's still like that, we'll probably have to go down for a jab or something.

누나 has always been a worry-wart, and she has been crying because of me...

Mico's Hamsters

I guess it's pretty spawcial for a pet to have a pet. When 누나 brought these hamsters home, Mico couldn't keep her nose and eyes off them, even guarding their cage. Even when Rain decided to make a dash for freedom, Mico kept her nose to help locate him. Ever since, these hamsters, Rain and Hyori (so named after 누나's fave singers), are known as Mico's pets.

Well, I'm not too keen on getting close with them though we're pretty much similar, but at least Mico doesn't hunt down lizzies like Yorke does.

Cody's been missing from our blog recently, so here's a picture of our four-legged cousin who looks ever so photogenic from almost any angle, cos he's camera shy. Even so, he's the most manja dog where 누나 is concerned, waiting to snuggle up by the side and always ready for a tummy rub.

Lately, the weather's been pawfectly mad. This is one of the days that I pray for RAIN to fall. Even 누나 also said that all she wants right now is the liquid rain, and not the solid, breathing, yummy-ab'd, human RAIN. (Have to put a disclaimer on this, and I'll update why soon.)

Back to this... I guess the weather's been dry enough to induce autumn in Singapore, and leaves are falling off everywhere; trees and shrubs are beginning to look botak and in desperate need of water. And I gladly provide such relief on my walks, hee...

So, doesn't Cody look good in this? He can almost blend in. Or hide him inside the stack of leaves and that'd be like a bonfire, only not quite a good idea if you decide to light it up.

And this is one blessed four-legged who enjoys the services of a personal pianist. When he was younger, he could be lulled to sleep, but now, he'll just perk up those ears of his to listen. :)

Vesak Day - "mini photoshoot"

Since we were all home and Mico has just got new clothes to show off (none for me, cos my 누나 insists that my fur is too long for clothes), and we just had our baths and look white and clean and Mico's tearstains cleared up a lot, this calls for an impromptu shoot.

Mico, in her new clothes. She's looking better with her tearstains slowly disappearing, and that girl really knows how to manja with everyone. But don't be taken in by her sweetie-pie innocent-face look. The moment she opens her mouth and starts playing, she's actually has not much of an image left.

And that's me! Looking fresh and happy after the bath. I love baths, and having my hair blown all nicely in place and getting primped and told that I look good. But in all honesty, I hate taking pictures, and it's actually the lure of food (Mico too) that got us looking at the camera.

누나 says bathing me is easier than Mico, cos I love water, and I'll allow her to bathe and talk me through, massaging while the conditioner's put to work. Mico, however, hates bath and tries to jump onto her lap and carried, and that's the same thing while blowing dry. So, 누나 gets "blessed" again, and this being Vesak Day, is so apt. And that meant, a bath for the human too. :P

(And that's our new Petedge toys. We've 2 tiny dogs that are kept for future play! And 누나 just joined a spree to get panties and a pink racer harness to match mine! Happy happy! 누나 says we should feel very blessed cos she saw a maltese named Toto up for adoption when he's already a senior. Also, with all the recent earthquake and hurricane happening in China, it made us a wee bit more appreciative of being in Singapore, despite many rules on us four-legged ones.)

Hoop Training & Yoghurt

Lately, we've started on hoop training, with this smaller white hula hoop that 누나 got for us.

At first, we were terrified of it, just as we had with the glittery purple bigger Wave Hoop. But we were slowly lured into walking into the hoop with treats, then to do our tricks inside, walk through, and now, the hoop is held up a bit up from the floor so we'll slowly learn how to jump through. Yes, all that just for treats. We are that food-motivated. ^^

Lately, for the sake of our digestion and the weather, 누나 has been buying us yoghurt and giving it to us either as it is, or frozen into cubes. We love it loads, especially crunching it up when it gets small enough. Same with ice-cubes that we're given to chill out sometimes. Literally chill. The weather's really sweltering hot for the last few days. 누나 is contemplating getting us a water cushion... but knowing Mico... the water would probably all be out very fast.

PS: Yorke's mummy says Mico looks whiter now. I think it's cos she's outgrowing her tearstains, plus she's been using the whitening shampoo too. :D

Me, in a plastic bag. I was trying to dig and settle in when the bedsheets were changed, but somehow decided to settle down there. Or perhaps, I was thinking - bags = kai kai (go out), so that's the same with plastic bags, right?

And then, there's Mico, tired out from playing fetch, just decided to sleep with the rope toy in her mouth. You know what they say about children doing the darnest things? I guess it's applicable to puppies too.

We haven't been able to blog lately, but the camera doesn't stop clicking!

누나 bought 2 dresses and this bunny ears thingy for Mico.
She looks like a bimbotic cheerleader, and just so angelic in the angel dress.
And bunnies! Which one of us looks more like one?

누나's colleague was clearing out her stuff to move to another level when 누나 commented that she has that same dog in pink. So, cos she had too much to bring, she gave some of her stuffed toys away, and here's the yellow dog to be friends with the pink dog. 누나 calls them Toto and Mico too. Hmmph! And Mico's chewing on a plastic penguin toy from the same loot.

We went for the SPCA's "Walk Your Dog" event this morning, and met Cody there. Some people played cheat by taking shortcuts, but we didn't (cos we didn't know how the route go and how to do so). We walked the full 3km, and Mico's really fast, at one time leading the entire contingent! Cody was really distracted and marking every few bits, and I was pacing myself... and I did it!

We didn't stop by the dog run after the event though 누나 had bought toys for us to play there... cos the grass was wet and it seems to be ticks season! 누나 found one on Mico and two on Toto on separate occasions. So, it's back to Frontline.

And cos no cabs would take all three of us in, we walked back to our place... so I suppose we'd walked at least 5km in total today! It's not that bad, really, so 누나 was considering doing this once a month. A great workout, and the air's still fresh. =)

Ps: 누나 was happily telling us that she had ordered lotsa toys from a Petedge spree, and a harness+leash set for Cody. I can't wait!

I usually scratch/dig my spot before I sleep too, to warm up where I want to sleep. But I usually do it in my bed. Mico's spots would be the sofa or the carpet.

Rainy Good Friday

Cos most of the humans have plans to be out a public holiday like today, 누나 decided to stay in to slack, having the peace of the entire house to herself (and us). Actually, it was more of to accompany us, cos we were left alone for about 5+ hours for the BBQ last night. Guess it's her way of making it up to us.

So anyway, it started raining badly cats and dogs (pun intended), with really loud rumblings of the thunder and flashes of lightning across the skies. So 누나 kept carrying and hugging us, and after it seemed to quieten down, we then made use of the good weather for a good afternoon snooze on a Good Friday.

And yup, that's us, in the same position snoozing, and not deliberately posed. That's siblings for ya!

Well, after the rain, it was really really hot, so the ground dried up fast enough for us to go for our evening walks. 누나 brought me along to the ATM to withdraw money for our food which was due tomorrow, but the supplier changed to Monday. Oh well. We still have some, and HCF. We're gonna be sharing the Nutro Holistic and the 2 bags of Bow Wow treats. *happy*

누나 will be officially graduating on 3rd April, and cos 엄마 couldn't find the time to make the graduation mortar hat as she said she would, 누나 took things into her own hand and headed down to Spotlight to get materials for it...

Of course, keeping in mind that she's not domestically housebroken, sewing is a big headache when she's someone who crafts really basic stuff.

So, Grandmama's help is enlisted, and after the designs and plans are done, 누나 traced out on chalk cut out the required portions from this thick piece of felt, got 2 gold buttons from Gram, and both got down to work. Or rather, Gram, cos 누나 is pretty much hopeless at that, and she ended up plucking tau gey for tomorrow's BBQ (which we have to miss, cos apparently, dogs aren't allowed, so we gotta stay home alone).

Yup, so, that's Cody with the half-finished mortar hat. It's still not fully sewn in place yet, along with the tassels. *love Grandmama*

And next up, the little Princess Mico, peeking out from under the pillow after digging through... so when 누나 asked "Mico, where are you?", she wriggled out halfway.

Nowadays, Mico sleeps with my other sissy, so it's just me and 누나, and Mico will come over after accompanying sissy to wait for her bus to school. That little girl loves to snuggle up the same pillow as the humans, so 누나 ends up getting a teeny weeny corner after that.

And I've to say again, Mico is really a little chilli padi... we were walking along with Cody near the private estate at Cody's place when we met many dogs, mostly barkish and way bigger than all three of us put together. But that girl doesn't seem to be bothered, and barked back at them! Goodness me!

And yea... can you see, this is really an unglam shot of me sleeping. That's what my 누나 says I'd do whenever I sleep... stick my tongue out. It always happen. I guess that's my trademark.

My favourite sleeping position is sideways (with tongue out), which is quite popular amongst dogs, but next common one would be lying belly-up on cushioned spots. Either my mini-sofa bed, or the human's sofa. Not their beds though, cos I'd probably get kicked around during their dreams.

New tees

These are the new tees that 2nd 누나 got for us... they were meant to be clothes for real human kids, going at 3 for $10. It looks adorable enough, and could fit us, so she got it.

However, it was a tad tooo big... so, it was Gramma to the rescue! Gram tightened the tee so it could fit Mico better, and it could be loosened again should Mico get fatter. Mine just needed to trim off the edge inwards because of *ahem* my pee-pee. *blush* I'm not that fat, really, just that my fur adds to the volume.

누나 is trying to look for a photographer for her graduation shot, and she intends to bring us along too... right now, she's considering getting a graduation gown from Build-A-Bear, to fit either of us in. Either that, or going au natural, cos we do look cute the way we are. (=

Mico barking at Youtube dog

I've always been a laid-back dog... even when 누나 puts on Quill on the telly to 'entertain me' (or rather, trying to invoke some response from me), I simply went back to doing my own thing, which is snoozing somewhere near her.

Mico, as we've discovered, seems to watch the telly sometimes, especially the doggy programme on Channel U on Saturday nights. Somehow, she has this amazing doggy radar, and barks only at certain dogs (actually, both of us don't seem to like schnauzers).

누나 was watching a video when Mico started barking, and to test, she went to Youtube and looking for a video of a dog barking (link)... she carried her up at computer-level, and she started looking intently before proceeding to 'sniff' out the dog in the monitor, and then proceeded to 'converse' with it. Go catch the video!

Modelling our CNY outfit

Well... I'm wearing the same red Chinese-style shirt from last year, and since Mico only came late last year, 누나 had to order hers... and in a bright pink, with cutesy ribbon at the bottom. Even strangers who saw us commented we look adorable.

Meeting our other furmilies
Over the CNY, we went to visit 누나's grandaunt... not quite sure what's the fur-dogs' relation, so I can't exactly call them cousins nor aunts when I'm older than them.

Meet Petals the docile tai-tai Maltese, who wants nothing more than to be carried, and Snowflakes aka Snowie the hyper Westie, who just exactly half a year older than Mico, and they were having a ball of a time chasing each other. Me? I'm like Petals, just a tad bigger, and trying to get out of the way when the two sassy girls were running about.

To 누나's horror, Mico decided to venture to the second level without invitation on her own, and 누나 ran up, to see her looking at Granduncle who wasn't feeling good with age. Seeing that, Snowie and I ran up to kaypoh too. Far from being a disturbance, you could see that Granduncle was happy to see us too.

New bows + Birthday
Pressies! First up, my birthday on 25th Jan. 누나 got us hair clips, and baked us a good treat (cornflake muffin and chawanmushi). I must say, I look truly Maltese-ish in the black clip, and Mico looks adorable.

Next up, Mico's birthday on V'day, 14th Feb. 누나 was dying to shop, and didn't found anything she liked... so, she decided to make a detour and got Mico a crown hairclip and clips for tying into two. She got a muffin and chawanmushi, and a toy donut as her pressie. I got an orange monster as a belated pressie.

Last on our list of Aquarians, my 누나 herself, on 19th Feb. She got a cheesecake, though she love chocolate a huge lot, because she LOVES us even more, and so we got to share a bit of the cheesecake. (:

Play!
Well, having Mico surely liven up the house, and being the good bro that I am, I'll always check on her before going to bed, and making sure from time to time that she's behaving. Of course, we've our fair share of fights (hey, she's ALWAYS taking MY toys, ok?), which I'll always give in after a while. Oh well.

After waiting a long while for Acer to come do up the computer, and then promising to bring the parts AFTER the Lunar New Year, the computer is still down. That means pictures from MY birthday, from the baking, from our yearly LNY posings, from meeting our fur-cousins cannot be uploaded on this computer, which has been affectionately nicknamed as the Dino.

Time for another bath and grooming... apparently, we've been out so much over the LNY that my 누나 says we're probably dirty from all the romps.

Me think this position make us look like we're about the same size, but in reality, Cody's the biggest despite being younger than me.

So, these are the accumulated toys after the first super sale... with some still hidden somewhere by Mico. That girl refused to stay still for a shot, so I was left to model.

And sometimes... the only way to get Little Miss Chilli Padi to stay still is to put her in the laundry basket. And that's when she'll give the sweet look to get her out.

More Christmas pressies... a rope toy for each of us! A pink candy-flavoured for the princess, and a mint-flavoured for the prince, me! However, whatever I have, the princess eyes it too!

Flappy ears! I love having the fan directed at me!

And little Mico peed on the sofa after bath today! She rarely makes such a boo-boo nowadays though. And just so suddenly, she finally learns how to 'paw', and can do a 'stay' a little. 누나 is so proud, having both of us doing the same tricks at the same time! Her food ran out and was just re-ordered, along with the treats, which is really really important to learn tricks, and I get to benefit by being the role model... hehehe!

Oh, happy day! Pets MoMo was having some super sale, and my 2-legged sisters, cousins and aunt went along, and bought a whole lotta stuff back as our Christmas pressies, and we're already using it now!

The rope toys... just so Mico doesn't go aiming for something more expensive, hee...

Sesame Street bed, that both of us love so much that we were squeezing in it. It was meant for Mico, cos she doesn't like the pink bed and so, I'm using it in the bedroom. The sofabed is now in the living room.

Dresses! I didn't get any clothes this time round, cos my fur is getting too long, and Mico hasn't gotten any dresses yet (cos Petedge was out of stock for the matching denim dress with my denim overalls, darn!). Let's see her model them!

As a special treat, especially after I hurt my paw, 누나 got freeze-dried doggy ice-cream for us. Not exactly cheap, but it's a special treat just for me (and I shared it with Mico).

As you can see, we really really love it loads, just that it's really little.

I was told that this pic really looks like a little boy sleeping soundly. And look at the toys scattered around me, courtesy of little Mico.

Us in our new booties. 누나 got it for Mico cos she loves licking her paws, and to be fair to me, she got me these brown ones. It's different from the one Yorke's (grand)auntie made for me, and so, I don't walk like I'm on tip-toe-ing.

We went down to the dog run on Sunday (sorry, no pictures) and meet a couple of other dogs (CHH-x-maltese, Pom-x-terrier, sheltie, JRT) and catching up with Cody. As usual, I've got the "prince" syndrome down pat, just walking leisurely, while my 누나 was the one running, goading me to run. Turned out that Mico and Cody were running after her instead, and Mico the chilli padi actually ran faster than Cody!

And after all that hard work and rest, we had our baths and grooming done. Mico really hates baths, and I love water oh-so-much. I wonder if it's a girl's thing, cos Yorke doesn't like water too, I heard.

That's all the trimmed off fur from Mico, whose fur was getting waaay too long for puppy cut, and curling out like a little lamb.

Mico's head looks really round, like a Bichon's, cos she didn't really take well to it, and getting her nails cut was murderous! 누나 says imma good boy! And that's us, after bath and 'full grooming', courtesy of 누나. (:

Our new toys from the Petedge spree... Mico totally destroyed the green teddy that was actually Cody's. In less than like, 10 minutes. The telephone records a message that will be played when one of us chew on the left side of the phone.

Mico's new bed, that we share~

Got into a bit of accident yesterday... was lying behind the door, when human cousin N opened the door and kiap-ed my paws so it bled a little. I was whining, while Mico looked on, following me as 누나 rushed to cleanse the wound and stop the bleeding. But as I struggled on, 누나 couldn't help but started crying at my pain.

It's mostly a superficial wound, and she was being over-protective when she carried me all the way home, refusing to let me put any pressure and aggravating it, but the moment we got back, Mico and I were running and playing around before bedtime. I'm now on a no-walk rule for now, for fear of infections from outside, but much as I dislike it, it's for my own good. *barks*

Cody has been coming by on Fridays, cos human cousin A has abacus lessons nearby. He marks a lot! Gosh. He's such a big boy now, and apparently is twice the size of this tiny sheltie called Jackie that they know. Time flies... Mico'll soon be one!

And oh, 누나 just bought new raspberry shampoo and freeze-dried ice-cream for us! Can't wait to try them~

As mentioned, the crumpled screen protector and chewed up cellphone, as well as the buttonless PSP pouch. If you think it'd looked bad, look at it upclose and you can see puncture marks on the rubber casing, through till the phone itself.

Simple Wonders

The miracle of puppyhood is enjoying the simple pleasures in life, be it chasing after birds or rolling in grass. It's so amazing to see Mico doing just that when we go for our walks.

However, chewing on a 2-month-old cellphone is also a wonder, but explainable. The cellphone is often around our humans and with strong, distinct scents of the humans themselves; when we dogs see them always being around it, we'd start thinking that it must be something good and precious to them... so when the opportunity strikes, voila!

Cody came by on Friday and we went over on Sunday. Cody turns two on Saturday, 17 Nov! Happy Birthday, little boy! Pawtos another time~

Bro & Sis II + Mischievous Mico

Another adorable picture of us two siblings together... but don't be taken in by her sweet innocent smile! Mischievous Mico would always, without fail, bully me for play-fighting. Seriously, that little girl has no sense of timing - she can do it just before bedtime, or the moment she wakes up, or immediate after meals, or anytime she likes. And as usual, being the good bro that I am, I just go along cos I can't stop that little ball of energy.

That bundle of joy and energy is also one destructive girl. One fine day, just when 누나 thought that she's been good and sleeping through the night and never peed elsewhere, and put her on the bed, where the handphone and PSP was. And in the morning, the PSP was outta the pouch, and the strings of the pouch destroyed (PSP just 10 days old!). The handphone though, just 2 months old exactly, was a wreck. The 3G camera was shattered, teeth marks all over too. That's despite putting on a rubber protective cover! At least the screen protector managed to absorb some of the manage. Imagine 누나's reaction when she saw the crumpled up screen cover when she woke up from the alarm!

The damage is expected to be about $108. Yes, definitely the heartache for the money parted, but 누나 says Mico didn't know any better and it was her fault, even though she was told that she doesn't chew on stuff. Sigh... being young and innocent gets her away with everything, doesn't she?

Anyhow, Mico's kibbles are low, and luckily, 누나 managed to find somewhere that sells what Mico's eating... cos it's new, even PLC isn't carrying it yet. Also, 누나 ordered the Marukan shaver and more Bow Wow mixed treats. It's small and handy, especially for training. Mico is now learning how to 'down'. (: *clever girl*

Yay! I can upload pictures now!

Without a doubt, this picture shows how comfy we are with each other, in similar sleeping styles. All along, 누나 says that I always behave without grace - I sleep like a suckling pig, whereas Cody lies on his side, sometimes with his paws crossed; I eat much faster and messier than Cody too. But now, here's my side-kick doing the same thing! And she eats even much faster than me, and even my leftovers!

And that's her, chewing as usual on her fave rawhide (aside from the milkbone) like a cigar.

That me in the first picture while having my bath, and the second one's Mico. She spent most part of her bath in this position, and the water was running down 누나's thigh. I think when we're wet, we look pretty much alike, except that I look a little bigger and furrier.

There are videos, pictures that I wanna upload, but somehow, the internet is grouchy and I can only post, but not upload stuff.

Update on Mico... The little princess is a very very messy girl. She loves pulling out all my toys from the rack, playing with it while her short attention span lasts, and then go for another. 누나 once came home to find toys strewn all over from the bed to the carpet.

Both of us got our baths yesterday, and mine, as 누나 says, was much easier, cos I love the water and being fussed over. Mico, however, isn't quite comfy with water and grooming. She would stand up, paws on 누나's knee to get her to carry, and water would start flowing down her thighs. But you can tell she's enjoying the bubbles. Took some time for her to get used to the drone of the hair dryer too. When it cames to trimming the nails and paw fur, hers was quite impossible, so it'll have to take some time, and maybe leave it to the groomers to do the trick.

I've to head off now. The Princess is jumping all over me to play. (:

Happiness is...

Charles M Schulz was right in saying that happiness is a warm puppy. I've always been happy being an only child, having all the attention at my age when previously I hadn't. But now, having a little sis added to the family does bring some changes to the situation. I no longer held the sole attention, though I'm cool with it.

I now have to look out for little Mico, enjoying the company of having a little sis in the house, one who initiates play, prompts me to have fun, which makes me wanna have fun too. Somehow, I couldn't get the video up (that's why I gave up and decided to do without it), but indeed, it's an adorable sight.

There was one day that we were both sleeping in different places, but somehow, Mico changed her spot, and I couldn't find her around. I ended up frantically running through the house, before Mico came out to let known her presence. Then, ended with some happy licking. Another time, Yaya snuck out to prepare dinner, and my little partner-in-crime was still asleep, and I had to nudge her to know that food is being prepared! Now, she knows the sound of our dinner being prepared, and knows what 'gai gai' is. She's still learning her sit. I'm one proud bro.

Cody just dropped by earlier with the human cousins to chill out over the Deepavali holidays, and we had a long walk at the park. Didn't get to see much of the furfriends, but there was a 2-year-old sheltie called Micky and another schnauzer. (:

Mico swimming

Remember that day when 누나 went to drop by on Mico after going to Petgamart? She went swimming, and that's her! She looks big there, doesn't she? And not a very happy little maltese... apparently, not only she doesn't like swimming, she doesn't like baths too.

Now... the human cousins would be having their holidays soon, so maybe it's time to go to Sentosa to celebrate Cody's birthday! (:

As with every Sunday, we head off to Cody's place, and Cody was sooo excited with his new sheep to herd that he forgot about me. Which is also a good thing, else my fur will be wet wet wet with his drool. So, a couple of pics now...

The human cousins were fawning over her, and even my uncle, who seemed like a tough nut to crack, even sayang-ed her. Even Gram had to admit that she's like a doll.

누나 just let Mico try on my FBI shirt, which was too small for me already because of my fur (and cos I've put on some weight since I came), and it's now on Mico. It's a little loose, but that's alright... more comfy. More pics!

I think she looks adorable, but when she starts pestering me when I'm asleep, I can't help but give a sleepy growl. But she's still my little sis who follows me around! (:

Introducing... Mico!

My baby sister came yesterday, and her name is Mico. She's about 9 months now, born on Valentine's Day, which coincidentally is the same day as my human cousin. She loves balls, and she loves chasing after her pink rope toy and pink ball. She made a couple of boo-boos so far, but it's understandable, given that she's still so young and new to the place.

Now, pictures of the little princess;

Initially, she was whining a bit, and so she had to be carried around. After a while, when more people came by to see her, she was acting all demure... and when they left, she's started being her active, playing pup self; initiating play, jumping all over me, chasing me (which of course, I did in return too)... she loves playing fetch with her pink rope toys and balls, and to avoid having to give up her toy, she'll jump over the hand!

As a puppy, she tends to sleep a lot, and get sudden bursts of energy and she'll start looking for someone (or me) to play with. She hates grooming, so that's something to work on... I love grooming and being all fawned on. However, she's had quite a lot of knots, and after 2 rounds of dematting, there's still quite a bit more. It'll probably take another 2 rounds, being the princess that she is, not liking the bit of pain... but otherwise, the mat would spread and get worse! No maltese should go botak, so that's some major work to do.

We'd just gone for a walk, and the princess decided to roll on the grass. It was cute and funny, but cos 누나 thought it was dirty and pulled her up, and found to her horror that she rubbed on poop! So, it was a mini shower for her then.

The princess is tired out now, and is sleeping in my bed. She's absolutely adorable, and I love her to bits, even though she makes me play with her even when I don't want to. (:

Updates!

I'm sooo psyched! Mico will be coming tomorrow, instead of today as originally planned. My two elder sisters say that I seemed to be better behaved these few days, maybe in anticipation that I'm not going to be the only child from now onwards.

So, there was Petgamart's anniversary sale, and with a bit of controlled shopping (I've like, 3 bottles of shampoo, and 2+ bottle of conditioner now), here's the haul (plus stuff for preparation of Mico's arrival).

누나 has gotten panties for Mico already, and let her tried after she bought them during some fund-raising for ALL. She messaged Anderson the rehomer, who said that Mico's down for a swim, so off she went with Yorke and mummy in tow. No pics, cos it was really for a short while, and Yorke's getting tired from being out for so long. But there's pics of Princess Yorke!

As you can see, Yorke's mummy was trying to get her to drink, but being that princess that she is and being tired and overwhelmed, she refused. She was even a little frightened of Mico! Oh dear.

Dog Spree - Items arrived!

I'm so excited! After waiting for a whole month, the items just came in for Yorke and I... well, you could've guessed that the pink harness (mine's in blue!) and dress belongs to Yorke, and that denim harness is for me... but now, it'd be relegated to Mico, until another spree comes on for the same pink harness as Yorke's to match mine...

Total damage? $35.42 for all three items, with change of a dollar to spare. Next spree up... Petedge spree, due 31st October. (: This time, 누나 has geared up mentally to spend about $50 on 2 matching tops for Mico and I, Zanies teddy set and telephone.

One more week till Mico comes!

Mico again again!

The rehomer called my 누나 while she was at work today, and gleaned some more information about my little sis-to-be. Apparently, she's been boarded out for about a month now... hopefully, all works out well for her to be with us in a forever home to call her own.

Anyhow, this Princess here loves balls, and likes to stand tall to dominate the rehomer's white schnauzer at home. The former is perfect, cos I don't really like playing with balls, and the latter... I sense I'll be doing some babysitting... cos it seems that she would initiate play. I'm your regular chill-and-be-doted Prince, whereas she seems like the in-your-face Princess. At least, that's what I think.

누나 is now looking at another Petedge spree that will be due on the 31st... She's very very very tempted to get us matching tops, one emblazoned with Prince for me (of course!) and Princess, for her. Also, a denim dress whose price is totally jaw-dropping... she also wants to get the 5-pack teddies set (there's even enough for Cody, Yorke and even Hoki!) and this telephone toy that'd play her voice. Oh gosh...

Totally can't wait for Mico to be here... next Friday/Saturday, she'll be here! that's just over a week!

My 누나 says that she got a message from Mico's owner, saying that we've been chosen, and she'd like a trial period for us. While she's overjoyed at the news, she's feeling tentative about it too, cos she fears that she might not meet expectations, and Mico might be taken away from us. That would be sad, cos having 'invested' feelings... it'd be heart-breaking.

Meantime, aside from work, 누나 is clearing away all the stuff... notes from JC... some residues from secondary... mostly will be passed to my human cousin N. She'll probably keep her uni notes though. Time to really get organised, especially when they're in the living room, where Mico will be in most of the time.

Mico's still a little girl, so I expect that I've to set a good example and guide her along. On Saturday, she seems receptive to treats (like me!) despite her owner saying that she doesn't take treats... and even can do sit! I think she could do beg and roll, which I'm unable to, cos I can't balance well. But hey! I can do sit, stay, kiss, hi-5, hi-10, turn, down... erh... I can't remember, but I learnt this after coming here. If an ~~old~~ young dog like me can learn new tricks, how much less a little girl?

I think Cody will enjoy having another companion when we meet... he'll have two 'sheeps' for him to shepherd, so double the joy for him then. Hahaha...

For the last few days, 누나 has been preparing me to meet my potential sister-to-be. Not a single day went by that went without the reminder of "Toto, be nice, and be a good example for 妹妹, ok?", so when I saw my outing bag, with lotsa treats, wet wipes, water bottle, leash & harness, newspaper, plastic bag all packed in, I excitedly jumped right in!

After catching the cab down to Mutts & Mittens with my other 누나, and my cousin bro 형, we reached, and met Mico and her family. She looks a little worn out, perhaps because she's been out for quite some time, and I was overwhelmed with the senses of having so many dogs nearby and outside.

My 누나 remarked that her tear-stains were like mine when I first came, just that my previous owner had it cut really short that it wasn't that obvious until they grew out. My 누나 believes that it's the work of orange extract and wolfberries that has helped cleared the stains and brightened up my button-black eyes.

After the humans had some chatter, Mico's family had to leave, but we stayed on till her rehomer (which was mine then too) had to leave. Mico didn't want to leave by then, and she's been an absolute dear. I guess, she must've really felt comfortable to be lying in my other 누나's lap and getting all that attention. Well, Cody loves that attention too, and never fail to trail behind either of my sisters when we meet.

Anyway, pictures time! Gosh... Mico really loves the camera, and there's this one shot of her seeming like she's kissing me... aww... I think I'll enjoy having someone smother such love on me! Meantime, keep those paws crossed for me, cos it'd be really great to have someone to boss and chill. *woof*

A little sis?

누나 happily announced to me that she's been shortlisted for the female maltese, meaning I might get a younger sis (여동생) in time to come. But of course, the priority would be that both of us has to get along. Honestly speaking, it'll have to take some time for us to get along, just like my friends from my walks.

Last night's walk was quite fruitful - I met Pepper (the JRT) again, and another couple schnauzer, Cody and Faith. That's the second Cody now! Pepper's a very very shy JRT to begin with, but cos we've met and walked a couple of times together, we were sniffing all over, following each other. Even her missy (not the usual one) was surprised. She's so shy and submissive that she turned, belly-side up!

누나 took this picture of me, cos she always love seeing how I sit up straight. She (and my other sis, and Yaya) enjoys grooming me. Sometimes, it may seem like a chore, but the fussing over me takes the troubles of the day away. Seeing how my hair glows in the sun, the wind blowing through, the parting falling down perfectly... makes it all worthwhile.

누나 intends to start me on flax seed oil (in powder form), for coat and skin, and health too. Hope she finds out more before letting me have them... I've a fussy tongue. (:

For the last few weeks, I've been going down for night walks quite frequently. My average is now 3 walks a day, and it's really cooling to have the breeze running through my long fur. And I now have two sets of paw friends - evening ones at the park (Lassie, Bluie, Raspie, Mei Mei, Mickey, Jacker, Snowy...) and night ones around the estate (Cindy, Popsicle, Snapple, Toby, Coco...), and since I get to see Lassie and Cindy more often, I'm better around them now.

누나 and Yorke's mummy have just joined another spree... my new harness was so comfy that it convinced 누나 to order another one just when the item arrived and the spree started. Yorke's getting the pink versh of my blue racer harness. (: And once again, my Yiyi asked, how many necks do I have... obviously, one! But a fashion-forward, doted and spoilt dog definitely has to have more than one option.

누나 just sent in her application to adopt a female maltese today. Seems like she's getting serious about it, and I'll have someone to share my big big sofabed with. Names are being thrown around, and Zara is one that's coming up tops now. 누나 says no human names as our first names and it has to be cute. Mine is cute - Toto Louis Leong.

All along, I've been expecting to get a little bro, but one experienced dog-slave told 누나 that male and female will get together easier, rather than two males that might get that Alpha Beta behaviour. So, it seemed like fate again, just like how I found my 누나... through a rehomer, and not via her own application. Well, ~~fingers~~ paws crossed for now.

On a side note, Herbie, a fellow plawgger, passed away today. 누나 has been reading his blog, praying for him ever since bad news of him possibly getting cancer broke. Even though neither of us has met him, his plawg makes it seem like we know him, it's hard not to feel affected. Goodbye, Herbie. I'll see you over the rainbow bridge someday.

I'm a happy dog! Was going for my walk when we met this neighbourhood auntie who shows dogs, and she chatted a bit with 누나, and commented that my coat is good. But the ears are a bit too high, which she wasn't sure if it's because of the topknot. She said that she used to show maltese too, and had to wrap them because of their long coat, and to give them the puffy topknot 'curry pok' effect, they'll stuff cotton in between the topknot! Shhhh... it's a secret!

With that, how can I not resist showing off a bit?

And these are my two new friends, Bluie and Raspie, both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Met them once when there was this silly kitten who thought I was its mom. Grrrr... dogs and cats are not friends. So imagine my terror when I see that little thingy coming after me...

I think 누나's yearning for another dog is getting stronger now... the show dog auntie said that Yorkshires Terrier breeders are few in Singapore, and finding a Maltese one would be easier. Though it'll easily cost between $3-4k. Hmmm... time to start saving!

누나 got her new cellphone yesterday, K800i, and she's thinking of a name for it her. She's decided that the whole masculinity of the phone doesn't fit her liking, though the camera's superb. So, it's a pink lanyard, pink socks, pink LV theme for her, with a little pink sticker on the back lens cover.

For all those who've worried for me, thank you! Thank you for all your love and concern, even though I've not met most of you people in person. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts, and your kind words through my 누나.

This episode has been very trying on 누나. Seeing how listless, lethargic, and quiet I am... and not shadowing her (trying, but my efforts weren't enough), alert or barking at the dogs on walks... just lying down, content to be just in her lap and getting sayang-ed. It had especially been so on Fri, when she was worried sick, and close to tears at some point. We've just had a year together, but it'd felt much longer.

I was due to go to the vet's on Saturday, when early morning, I woke up to be right as rain! The leg no longer hurt, and I was my usual active self. I could jump, bounce a little, and being brought on my walk after a day of being confined (because of the rain and the Seventh Month) was such a taste of freedom.

And yes, I was at Cody's yesterday. That silly boy, is as usual, being manja, and trying to get MY attention. Hello, I'm the adorable maltese, the apple of my 누나's eyes. And there he was cuddling up to my two sisters, lying at their feet, sneaking kisses to them... and then, he'd start chasing, or rather, shepherding me again. That boy really doesn't get it that I'm not his flock. But well, he's my 弟弟... what's there not to love about a beautiful sheltie, really?

Sick

누나 is worried. In fact, everyone's worried.

It had started when Yaya held me up to wash my paws after walk when I yelped. So did 2nd sis, when she carried me, baby style (2 hands under the pits)... she said I was crying and shivering. And when 누나 heard about it when she got home, she thought I was as normal as could be, until she heard me growl when she tried carrying me. After that, she checked and everything seemed fine. My appetite's been good (even ate up the kibbles, despite being the fusspot me), and I enjoyed my walk. However, I seem to be feeling lethargic, not barking at the dogs walking downstairs, not bothering to shadow 누나...

누나 is worried, and she'll call up the vet tomorrow. 2nd sis will be back early to look after me, and if need be, 누나 plans to take half day off to send me to the vet, or on Saturday, missing her Korean lesson.

Sigh... I wish I could tell her what's ailing me.

National Dog Walk 07

Alrite... I know, this is very belated. But please do consider that I'm just a white maltese darling who's too short to reach the tall tall computer table, and much less sneak in without a password to boot. I've just snuck in here, shhh...

So anyway, off I went for the National Dog Walk on the 5th of August at the West Coast Park. There were soooo many dogs, said to be a thousand... so imagine the number of the two-leggers there! If every two-leggers came accompanied by another... that's a huge number!

Following that, I walked almost the entire 1.5km, except for the remaining bit cos I was salivating very horribly after arriving early and playing with other dogs around. I even met my 'twin' outside Mac's. And there were some good deals there, for dog food, shampoos/conditioners, clothings... but all I got was shampoo and conditioner, which was going at 1-for-1, and it made my hair softer when I tried the sample. Pet Esthe's charcoal shampoo. Mummy bought it for me! It's a first!

Not only that, Mummy bought me a sofabed after 누나 said she'd get it for me. Well, eventually I got it, and Mummy refused to take 누나's money for it. I guess my charms are working well on Mummy now. I love it so much, and 누나 keeps saying I look adorable curled up just in the top portion of it. Well... I fell off while scratching myself the first time, sitting in the sofa. Hee...

And the sofabed matches 누나's latest PINK acquisitions! I'm just such a lucky boy, cos I get to share EVERYTHING, including dinner's roast duck. Shhh...

(PS: Anyone noticed the LV frame? I was on my walk when I met a mini schnauzer called Gucci. And since 누나's latest obsession is with LV, because of RAIN again, they're also calling me Louis. And if I do get a sister, Prada; a brother, Marc. Personally, the humans have gone mad.)

1st Anniversary

It's quite hard to imagine that I've been here for more than a year now. I can still clearly remember the day - 23rd July 2006... that was the day I was picked up to go to my new home, and I somehow knew it, that all my reservations from my first meeting with her melted away.

Then

I recall shivering in the car, and putting on my new PINK collar, harness and leash set. And I was sent to the groomer's to get my nails trimmed.

The pictures don't really do justice to the stuff... and my 누나 dragged herself through an interview, signing paperwork, before collecting the items. And now, the itchy, scratchy throat has became a full-blown cold, complete with runny/blocked nose and teary eyes.

The collar is really more *bling* than it looks, and the massager... well, I don't really like it. But it's getting better now. Mummy has her own massager and I have mine. ^^

Snood + updates

It's been a while since I've update, since I'm been busy lazing around and acting cute, according to 누나. But... I've always been cute, naturally.

Went by Cody's place on Thursday since I anticipated the rest of the two-legged cousins to be there, but oh well... Cody had a field day chasing and herding me, as usual, and tried humping me. Bah. I had to be carried on the lap to avoid being drown in his saliva, and Grams keeps telling 누나 not to do so.

Cody has recently taken to chasing shadows - clothings flapping in the wind, moving humans, and even inanimate objects like the shadow casted on by the sofa. Really strange, and he'd bark after running a round to chase 'it'. Creepy and neurotic.

And yesterday, 누나 got a call from SPCA/HPB about this dogwalk she's signed up on the 24th June, at 8am. Gosh. Both of us are usually in bed at this time, and it being a 2km walk... I dunno if I'm up to it, probably so, since I can clock in 1.6km in about half-hour, uninterrupted. Apparently, I'll be getting a goodie bag, being amongst the 1st 30 to sign up. It's nearby, and I anticipate leaving around 9.30am cos 누나 has her 김치 class on. ^^

누나 got me this thingy called snood. It's supposed to help prevent my long fur from getting into the bowl when I eat, especially when the beefy smell is darn strong.

I'm pleased to say that it's worked well, and cost just $2 from Daiso (it's actually meant as for human's headband during washing face), when she saw that Petfuze is selling at $32 and wayyy too girly for me. Yaya says I look like some farmer with my hair all slicked back. Bah.

For those who've been reading or know me, directly or not, you'd know my story - I was an adopted dog whose original owners had a human child and couldn't handle both of us together. At my age of four-half (then), I was considered 'old', as people wanted puppies (I'll admit, they're irresistibly cute), pedigree dogs for adoption, preferably free.

The fosterer in between who introduced me to my current 누나 chanced on her looking for a maltese for adoption (though she was considering buying one), and the rest was history. A few months later, when she met up with the fosterer, she told her that I've been looking for a home for months.

There's going to be an adoption drive coming right up, and hopefully, more dogs get their forever home. There's gonna be stuff on sale too, so if 누나 can work around the timings, she would be going too. Click on the thumbnail for more info!

Sorry for the lack of updates... I must say, aside from having the modem's button going kuku on us, it doesn't help that the part for creating an entry is totally screwed up. Yes, the moment I got back connected, paws poised over to blog as I get the opportunity to (since 누나 is trying to stay focus on mugging for exams), the part is totally screwed up, and after much snooping around, 누나 has found a way to get around it!

After logging in to Blogger, you would see http://www.blogger.com/home, but instead, add a numeral 2 after the www, so it effectively becomes http://www2.blogger.com/home, and I get a normal, non-screwed up page for blogging! Ta-dah! 알라요?

Back to blogging... Cody came over last Saturday on a whim as the four-leggeds are all out catching Spiderman, and he'd be alone. I had 누나 at home since she had to study and wasn't interested in the movie, and he came over for the company and good yummy beefy dinner. 진짜 맜있어요!

누나 brought us out for a walk at the community park and she remembered to bring her camera this time as she'd wanted to snap pics of us enjoying ourselves and meeting our 친구s. So, pictures galore!

The white pom is 5 too, and weigh about the same as me, despite his seemingly tiny size. His name is Snowy. His bro is some CHH-cross (or so believed), whom you can see is the dominant one snarling at Cody, Sammy

Next, we have ferocious CHH-x-JRT, Jaker, who snarled and scared both Cody and I that we were hiding behind 누나. The silky is Mickey, and his sister, Mei-mei, is pregnant again, by Jaker. The 아저씨 asked 누나 if she was interested, and she was considering still. I may get a little brother soon, but then, I'm not sure if I'd like the divided attention, having Cody trying to get her attention and keeping me off the bed that she was studying on.

Aussie tag for Aussie dogs!

Whee! I'm just so excited! Having heard that the tags that 姐姐 had ordered from Aussie from a spree is here, I've been stalking the mailbox a few times a day. And my wait is finally over!

Yes, tags from the land of kangaroos and cuddly koalas and fat wombats, my homeland. I'm officially a Singaporean PR, but it makes my day to meet other Aussie mates, like the black CHH the other day. Her brother, a white smooth-coat with a fan-like tail CHH, is missing after they both ran out last week.

And the creepiest thing was that yet another dog, a maltese-x-shih tzu, from the neighbourhood, has gone missing. The tag's definitely came at the right time, and I'm sure Cody'll love his. We're both Aussie mates with Aussie tags now!

Went to Gramma's for a little romp with Cody. It's really sweet and cute to have both of us lying side by side while 姐姐 was studying. But that meant I got salivated over again.

I've a bit of problem... as you all know, I'm growing out my coat to be like Petal's (was told that I look more puffy like Petal now, and also resembles a white teddy), and that meant that my 'beard' tends to get into the water and becomes yellowish. So, I overheard that I'll be getting baby bibs soon (grrr, the indignity of it!), and by a stroke of genius, the 4-legged ones experimented on this hairstyle for me.

I think it looks ridiculous, but well...

Haven't been blogging lately, cos I'm just in my lazy mood. I don't know why, but people have been saying that I've been throwing tantrums, when I'm just my usual prince-y self. When 姐姐 spends too much time on her computer, I don't get to use it or play with her much, I ignore her. When no one is around to accompany me for my meals, I wait till one of my royal subjects get the hint and sits with me.

Speaking of meals, I'm one happy dog. Lately, I've a more varied diet, and it shows in the coat - fish, chicken, pork, beef... yes, beef! The smell's so delish, that 姐姐 stumbled on Yaya cooking and asked what's for dinner. No way am I sharing my food! I overheard that I might be going full HCF (I'm already 90% HCF) after all the kibble recall scares... but 姐姐 is worried about my meals when she start working, and she's been reading up on one meal or kibbles in the morning/HCF evening... noooo!

Sheesh... this week, I was bathed not once (as usual), but twice! Yes, twice. It's not that I don't love bath time [Missy: this is one strange boy who follows me to the toilet when I say it's 'pom pom time'.], though I'm not a particular fan of the wet and all tiny drowned-rat look. And the indignacy of having my pictures taken when I'm not at my best. Bah.

What's new? Aside from being treated like a live stuffed dog, getting hugs and rubs and kisses all over, I'm often the royal pooch who gets photographed more then my two-legged beings. So, it's not much of an obvious choice when my 姐姐 gets a new digicam, and decides to test it out on who else but yours truly.

And talking about poop... 姐姐 woke up very very late on Sunday morning, and I had to get out to the newspaper to poo, and since I wasn't able to, I proceeded to the toilet, which the two-leggers use, and pooped right in the middle of the floor. 姐姐 wasn't very happy when she woke up, and nearly stepped on it when she was going to brush her teeth, having to clean up this morning 'pressie', but that's not quite my fault. And don't ask me how I learnt that, since I'd also peed once there when 姐姐 woke up late.
